The Big SIMPSON Fundraising Weekend

The Big SIMPSON Fundraising Weekend

Over the weekend of the 9th and 10th June, our SIMPSON colleagues were exceptionally busy fundraising for two very worthy charities.

Phil Mason, Steve Pratt, Lee Williamson and Danny Pickering took part in the ITU Leeds Sprint Triathlon on Sunday 10th June and all completed the course in a fantastic time. Additionally, Andy Gatenby cycled 200 miles, with 1900 metres of climbing, over two days from Bluntisham, Cambridgeshire to Harrogate. Andy was also joined by 14 members from the Monk Fryston Cycling club. Both events were fundraising in aid of ‘Jog 4 Georgie’; a charity fund set up by our colleague, Chris Gatenby. The total figure raised from the two events is currently a staggering £7,965.00, which has raised the fund to £29,589.29.

Andrew Sellars also took part in a ‘Coast 2 Coast’ cycle challenge on Saturday 9th June, cycling 150 miles from Seascales to Whitby. Andrew and his team members have raised an unbelievable £17,757.69 in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

The totals raised by all three events are outstanding. Congratulations to everyone who took part and supported the events.
