Phase 1 – 32 week Duration \ Contract Value £3m
We undertook the construction of a new production unit for CSM Bakery Solutions, a global leader in bakery ingredients, products and services.
This new facility allows CSM to reactively distribute an extensive range of bakery products and ingredients for artisan and industrial bakeries, as well as in-store and out-of-home markets.
Works for this food production unit included a complete new drainage package, full new mechanical and electrical works, incorporation of a new steel mezzanine floor, complete decoration and new flooring throughout, with the incorporation and installation of new production equipment.
Following the successful completion of Phase 1, we were appointed to carry out Phase 2 of the works for this client.
Phase 2 – 20 week Duration \ Contract Value £2.5m
The scope of works for this second phase involves mainly the internal upgrade to the existing facility, new entrance access, refurbishment to the main building elevations, new internal layout of the ingredient handling area, upgrade to the existing fallow areas, a new walk on ceiling over the fallow areas, new walls in the fallow area demolition of the existing nut storage area, and modifications to increase the size of the existing washrooms.
To facilitate the work in Phase 2, a dust proof hoarding was required from the underside of the roof to the production floor slab, in order to separate our works from the live production facility. The height of this screen ranged from 5 to 8 meters and was approximately 35 meters in length.Back to top
