Project Info

SIMPSON completed the Construction of a new bridge for the National Trust, over the River Rye at Nunnington Hall.

SIMPSON used the facilities at Head Office to house the steel structure, so that our Joinery teams were able to Construct and fit the oak structure to this elegant curved steelwork.

Following completion of this first phase the bridge construction, this was transported from our Dunnington workshop to Nunnington Hall where it was lifted by crane into position on the pre constructed pier supports on either side of the river, which had been constructed and completed by our Construction team.

“I would like to thank SIMPSON for their outstanding contribution to the above scheme. Their proactive approach has made working with them a real pleasure. Special thanks go to the Joiners shop and site team”
