SIMPSON recently undertook the refurbishment and fit-out of a 5 storey office block in the centre of Sheffield for CEG. The works consisted of the complete up grade of all toilet blocks (20 in total) and the upgrade and refurbishment of the vertical stair cores, whilst the office was fully operational. We also re configured the ground floor area to facilitate specialist studio office space and created a break out lounge area for use by the differing tenants.

In addition this this, further space was converted to provide a leisure and gymnasium facility on the ground floor level. These works consisted of the manufacture and supply of all bespoke joinery from our Joiners Shop, which included door sets, toilet cubicles, vanity units, glazed partitions, ceiling features, bespoke banquet seating, tabling, specialist signage and counters.

Also included in the works was the upgrade of the mechanical and electrical services, with new soft and ceramic flooring throughout, decorative finishes, and window treatments. The works were undertaken in a live office environment over a period of 16 weeks, with disruptive and noisy works been addressed outside of normal office hours.

We are currently on site for CEG carrying out the refurbishment works to Central House in Harrogate with completion due in December 2020.
