Upcycling and Donating
Who doesn't love a bit of up-cycling 😀.
Simpson currently restoring Salford Cathedral, were able to donate this old cable drum to a local play group who has then redesigned it into this amazing piece for the children to enjoy !!


NFB Construction Awards of Excellence 2023
A great night for Simpson at the NFB Construction Awards of Excellence. Mark Cregan (Construction Director) and Andy Gatenby (Managing Director) attended the awards last month in London.
We took home another award for Clifford’s Tower in the Heritage & Conservation Building Project of the Year.
A huge well done again to everyone involved in this project.

York Top 100 Business

Structural Timber Awards
What a night … Mark Cregan (Construction Director) attended this years, Structural Timber Awards at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham. This evening celebrates architectural achievements and engineering ingenuity in timber construction.
Clifford’s Tower took home two awards including:
- Leisure Project of the Year
- Winner of Winners

New Project Award – Salford Cathedral
Simpson are delighted to announce our appointment as Main Contractor on the restoration and refurbishment to Salford Cathedral.
Phase one of the restoration will focus mainly on the exterior of the cathedral, involving the complete re-roof, re-pointing, masonry repairs and remedial works to the tower and spire.
Phase two of the works, will involve the refurbishment of the Cathedral’s interior. Works are programmed to start in September.
